Are you an experienced Project and Portfolio Management professional looking for your next role where you will manage a PPMO accountable for governance, control and assurance processes?

As the Lead PPMO Officer you will support the Head of Change Management in driving adoption of the SRA’s Futures portfolio methodology and associated principles. You will lead and support your team to build processes around Project for the Web, SharePoint, performant resource management, Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies (RAID) Management and Stage gate Governance.

What we are looking for

  • Experience of capacity planning, scheduling, and resource allocation in response to demand across the portfolio at all stages of the lifecycle
  • In-depth knowledge of defining and embedding effective and efficient project controls, templates, governance, and assurance, ensuring toolkits, processes and performance is continuously improved
  • A strong background of project management methodologies, principles, information workflows, KPIs and toolsets are proportionate to SRA business size and complexity
  • Experienced line manager or matrix manager, who can motivate and engage individuals and teams.

  • This is a hybrid role and will be based in our Birmingham office 1 to 2 days a week, and from home the rest of the week
  • Salary range for a Birmingham based role is £33,379.50-£39,270.00 and an offer will be dependent on demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate can bring to the role
