circa £55,000 (negotiable) + benefits

Corporate Functions (HR, Finance, Project Management, IT, Risk and Audit)

The role

As a Data Architect you will design, build and (hands on) maintain new data models to support the strategic, regulatory and operational needs of the SRA.

Reporting into an Enterprise Architect (EA), you will be responsible for the end to end design of our data models and be instrumental in designing and leading the ICT data strategy. You will be comfortable discussing, documenting and agreeing data requirements with the business and working closely with other teams within the organisation.

You will manage a small team of Data Engineers, so experience of managing, coaching or motivating others is preferred.

You will understand and document project and business as usual requirements for the data the SRA need to maintain in order to regulate and operate accurately and efficiently.

Documenting and roadmapping ICT estate data models and entities, for our customer facing web sites, our internal Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, and other internal data models, including our Microsoft Azure based Common Data Model and Semantic Data Model, will be important.

Working closely with an Enterprise Architect, you will lead the ICT data strategy - the flow of data from ingress into SRA through use / retention / deletion to egress, across all ICT systems, including those above, and additionally integration with Microsoft 365 Dynamics Finance (internal) and other systems.

We are normally based at The Cube, in Birmingham - a great city centre location alongside the Canal, and in walking distance to railway stations and other transport links.

Due to the current situation the role will be working from home until Spring 2021. Looking forward there may be scope for this role to be based from home some days of the week.
