The SRA are for a looking for a Public Affairs Manager to raise its profile and reputation with internal/external stakeholders and political audiences. Along with supporting the Head of Public Affairs to deliver a programme of proactive strategic engagement.

You will use your sensitivity and diplomacy to advise and support our senior leadership team, keeping them abreast of key political and regulatory matters relevant to our sector.

You will lead on the development of the engagement strategy to build profile and reputation of the SRA. You will achieve meaningful engagement with a broad range of key influencers by developing and managing individual relationships.

  • Pension - We will contribute 1½ - 2 times your contribution, up to 12.25%. So, if you contribute 7%, you will enjoy the maximum combined contribution of 19.25%
  • Hybrid working consisting of home working and an office presence of one or two days a week in our offices in The Cube in Birmingham or Old Broad Street in London.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience of effective engagement with key political and parliamentary stakeholders
  • Excellent knowledge of the workings of Westminster
  • Experience of diverse stakeholder relationship management
  • Experience of supporting and working with internal customers
  • Demonstrable experience of drafting speeches, presentations and briefings for senior level staff
  • First-class written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent strategic communication and organisational skills.
