We are looking for a Fast Track Claims Handler to join the Fast Track Claims team in Client Protection on a permanent basis.

The role

As a Fast Track Claims Handler Level 1, you will process a high volume of Compensation Fund claim cases, delivering against KPI’s in line with case management guidelines. You will manage a portfolio of straight forward cases, follow process and investigate cases effectively, drafting reports and making recommendations appropriately. 

You will provide excellent customer service to claimants, ensuring they are kept up to date and their expectations are managed. You will liaise closely with the Technical Specialists for guidance and feedback to improve your performance and case progression.

As a Fast Track Claims Handler Level 1, you will have a focus on customer service, quality and speed of response whilst being comfortable in a high volume, high speed, KPI driven environment. The main use of communication will be the telephone.

You will be comfortable with continually changing processes as we evolve the process and develop our IT systems. You will have your own case-holding, but also be comfortable with being able to pick up any file as it is needed in a pooled file system.

Essential

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Evidence of working successfully in a customer focused fast paced/constantly changing environment where priorities may change at short notice

Experience in dealing with difficult or emotional customers (Claimants / Applicants)

Proactive decision making and an ability to analyse large amounts of different information and make sound decisions based on clear rationale

Results focused and motivated to achieve performance targets (both quantity and quality)

A co-operative team player who can work effectively within a pressurised environment and to tight deadlines
